About Me.
I’m a sucker for deep, meaningful conversations and have found my “happy place” engaging in those conversations while helping people regain control of their lives. I know that my life would look drastically different had I not engaged in my therapy and I am humbled that I get to do similar work with others as my therapist has done for me.
My counseling career has taken me to places such as psychiatric residential treatment facilities, community mental health centers, and also private practice. I never cease to be amazed at the vulnerability it takes to reach out for help and begin this process. It would be my pleasure to work with you and journey with you.
I practice from a psychodynamic perspective and believe great healing can take place when we become aware of behavioral, emotional, and thought patterns that are contributing to our pain and brokenness and that immense healing can take place in our working relationship. I enjoy working with young adults and adults who are struggling with PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, or self-esteem.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the world through the eyes of my son, adventuring with my husband, running around with my dogs, cheering on our Kansas City teams, gardening, being active, reading, and exploring new recipes.
